Meet Our President
Kent Howell is the founder and President of KOSA Consulting Group. He is a successful, results-oriented sales and marketing professional with twenty-three years of marketing, sales, and sales management experience. He has personal selling experience in insurance, government, telecommunications, software, and pharmaceuticals. He began his career in the life insurance industry working for both MetLife and Kentucky Central Life where he sold individual and group life, personal and group health, annuities, and mutual funds to consumers, small business, and business owners.
During his tenure at such companies as AT&T and GTE Kent qualified for the highest of sales achievement honors. In the course of his career, Kent has managed major accounts where he was responsible for millions of dollars in revenue and managed sales teams being responsible for tens of millions of dollars in earnings. Many of his roles included responsibilities for such areas as strategic planning, P & L, hiring, personnel development, as well as sales and product training.
Kent has extensive experience in both developing and winning new business as well as growing revenue from existing accounts. This includes revenue generation for new and existing products from both new and existing clients. He has worked in sales and marketing in a variety of roles: individual contributor, team leader, sales manager, marketing director, and as founder – owner – president.
Prior to founding KOSA Consulting Group, he worked in a variety of sales capacities at a number of Fortune 500 firms such as AT&T, GTE Network Services (Verizon), and Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories.
His experience spans working with consumers and small to medium sized businesses, to managing millions of dollars of revenue at large multi-national accounts (e.g. Lexmark International, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, & British Petroleum), and on large state (KY) and federal government (GSA) accounts and contracts. His experience spans both domestic and international sales.
Kent has trained salespeople from a broad cross-section of industrial disciplines. He has a high-energy style that motivates and informs. He knows how to beat quota...and he will teach your sales team to do the same.
Kent hold a Bachelor of Business Amdinistration Degree for Eastern Kentucky University where he successfully completed majors in Marketing, Management, and Computer Information Systems.
